Background

Marissa is a woman from NorCal who graduated from Berkley with a biochemistry degree. She is the little sister of Phoebe Diana Connolly*, & has had a difficult relationship with her for their entire lives. This mostly comes down to the abuse Phoebe endured from their father that Marissa was more sheltered from due to her looking more like her father. When Phoebe returned to their parents house in their teen years, they gave Marissa LSD, where she had a bad experience due to a drug combination. Following this, Phoebe was kicked out of their household again, & depending on the timeline, may or may not have successfully reconnected with her little sister. She got an internship after her sister sent a letter getting her to join some friends sharing potential career options, & landed a job at a pharmaceutical corporation. She sometimes investigates new plants with other scientists to search for novel compounds.
